Zeus is seated on a throne (?). He is represented almost facing, to the same scale as the surrounding standing figures. The feet rest on a rock (?). The right arm is hanging down, the hand grasping a thunderbolt. The left arm is extended obliquely upward, the hand holding a staff. The god has close-cropped beard and hair. His dress consists of a himation, which covers the left shoulder.

Athena is represented emerging from the head of Zeus in a sprinting position, head and legs in profile to the right, the body almost facing. Her dress consists of a peplos. She wears a helmet, carries a shield on the left arm and holds a spear in the right hand, seen from the back.

There are three other deities on the picture. On the right stand a goddess, the right arm extended obliquely upward, the hand with extended fingers seen on the palm, the left arm raised, the hand, with palm turned downward, hold above the head of Zeus, and Hephaistos, characterised as such by the axe. On the left stands a goddess, holding the chest of Zeus.

As setting for the figures there are some rocks and a tree in the picture.
